The Taste of 4th Avenue Jazz Festival outlasted the rain all day and night Saturday, July 23, with some spectacular performances by Ona Watson, Julie Dexter, Cleve Eaton & The All Stars, Fred Spraggins, Rhythm Band and Birmingham Heritage Band and others. The crowd multiplied as the day went on, drawing more and more people to the front of the stage to dance. In between performances, the food and drink vendors were a popular selection.
Since 2003, this free, one-day festival has featured local, regional and national renowned jazz artists by bringing them together to Birmingham's downtown Historic Fourth Avenue Business District. The festival is organized by Urban Impact, Incorporated.
