Birmingham Revealed series returns

Birmingham Revealed, Washington & Du Bois: “Two Opinions, One Goal” premieres at the Vulcan Park and Museum on Thursday, Feb. 1.

Written by playwright Lee Shackleford, “Two Opinions, One Goal” is a two-man play that the foundation commissioned to write in advance of Black History Month. Black said the performance is intended to educate about different opinions of two early civil rights activists, Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Du Bois.

There will also be a small wine and cheese reception at 5:30 p.m. before it starts at 6 p.m.

If you are a Vulcan Park and Museum member, “Two Opinions, One Goal” is $8, and otherwise it’s $10.
