The Women’s Service Board of Cornerstone Schools of Alabama is pleased to host the 19th Annual Harvest of Hope Gala on Friday, October 21st at The Club.

Harvest of Hope is an annual fundraiser attended by Birmingham’s business and community leaders. For the first time in three years, Harvest of Hope will be an in-person event where guests will enjoy jazz music by Eric Essix, a visual art performance by local artist Shannon Harris, and live and silent auctions. The event will recognize the 2022 Harvest of Hope Honoree, Ford Hamilton, and the Volunteer of the Year, Melinda Helveston. A seated dinner will follow with a brief program highlighting Cornerstone's successes over the past school year.

“The mission of the Women's Service Board is to serve, support and encourage the students, teachers and staff of all three campuses of Cornerstone,” said Laura Sappington, President of the Women’s Service Board. “Our annual Harvest of Hope event allows us to raise funds to support Cornerstone's pursuit of academic excellence, spiritual growth and character development for every student enrolled."

All proceeds will directly benefit the 700 K4-12th grade students at Cornerstone Schools of Alabama.

“We are excited for this year’s in-person Harvest of Hope event and are blessed by the continuous support from our community,” said Dr. Nita Carr, President of Cornerstone. “We look forward to celebrating how Cornerstone is flourishing. Our mission continues to move forward by the generosity and support of our Cornerstone friends and partners.”
