Hundreds gathered — and sweated — at the B'ham Food Trucks Summer Rally this Sunday. Even with temperatures in the high 90s and summer rain showers, food truck fans weathered the weather for treats from their favorite trucks.

The event was put on by the B'ham Food Truck Coalition, which represents trailers, carts, food trucks and other mobile-based businesses in Birmingham, and the afternoon benefitted the ALS Association — Alabama Chapter and Pathways, a non-profit geared toward serving homeless women and children.

A variety of local food trucks provided options ranging from seafood to tacos to pizza to ice cream, and attendees braved long lines in the heat to get their favorites or try something new.

The afternoon was not all about food, however. Local breweries had beers on tap, and representatives from Trim Tab and Cahaba Brewing were present to talk about the best food pairings.

Younger attendees also had the chance to get their faces painted to to enjoy the bounce houses and play area at Regions Field.
