After announcing in late May it would no longer take place in Sloss Furnaces, Magic City Brewfest has announced its new location and time.

According to a release sent out on June 14, the annual beer festival, hosted by Free the Hops, will take place at Avondale Park on July 29. The event will be from 4-8 p.m. Tickets purchased for the original dates and times of the event — June 8 and 9 — will be honored for the new date and time, according to the Magic City Brewfest website. Refunds are also available.

Organizers announced on May 27 the event would be postponed due to price increases for the rental of Sloss Furnaces, according to a notice from Free the Hops. This is Magic City Brewfest's 11th year.

According to the June 14 release, Birmingham Mayor William Bell worked with Free the Hops to find a new location for the beer festival. Changes and additions to this year's festival, according to the release, will be announced in upcoming weeks.
