Birmingham City Council approves $6.9 million for paving
The Birmingham City Council, at its regular meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 14, approved $6.9 million in street resurfacing in all nine districts.
The vote to accept a bid from Dunn Construction Co. in Birmingham was unanimous, according to a council news release.

The council has made infrastructure in all 99 neighborhoods in the Magic City a priority in recent years, the release states.
“When speaking to constituents, there is a common thread of people wanting infrastructure needs to be addressed across our city,” Council President William Parker said.
