Area residents are encouraged to go online and offer their comments and suggestions regarding a new Birmingham City Center Master Plan being developed by the City of Birmingham, the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham (RPCGB) and REV Birmingham.

An interactive survey is available at bhamcitycenter.metroquest.com.

A link to the survey, as well as more information about the plan, is also available at downtownbhamplan.com.

The survey will remain open until Nov. 30, according to a spokesperson for the RPCGB.

Respondents will be asked to rank their top priorities; answer questions regarding strengths, challenges, needs and opportunities; and pinpoint their ideas and issues on a map.

The last Birmingham City Center Master Plan Update was completed in 2004, according to the website.

Since then, the area has undergone a tremendous revitalization, with both new construction and renovation.

Hence the need for a new master plan to help direct future growth in the area.
