The Summer Food Truck Rally is bringing an afternoon of live music, kid’s activities and more than 20 food trucks to Regions Field on Friday, July 28, from 5-8 p.m. The annual food truck rally is put together by the B’ham Food Trucks coalition, which includes food trucks, trailers and other mobile-based businesses in the greater Birmingham area.

“People love food truck food because it’s fresh, and you have enthusiastic people serving it,” Melissa Beck, project manager for GoPro Event Solutions, said. “There will be creative dishes customized for the event.”

Last year, more than 3,500 people came out for the event. Beck said the 20-plus members of the food truck coalition now have a combined social media audience following of 100,000 people, so this year might see even more people.

The food trucks at the event include: Bendy’s Cookies and Cream, Big Spoon Creamery, Cantina on Wheels, Dreamcakes, Dreamland BBQ Truck, Eugene’s Hot Chicken, Fetch – A Treat Truck for Dogs, Greg’s Hot Dogs, Lazy Boy BBQ, Melt, NOLA Ice, Off the Hook, Old Town Pizza, Repicci’s Italian Ice & Gelato, Rooski’s Food Truck, Saw’s Street Kitchen, Shindigs, Slice, Southern Wanderer – A Fashion Truck, The Heavenly Donut Company, The Neighborhood Brew, Tot Spot and Urban Pops.

Tickets can be bought in advance after July 4. In order to consume alcohol, IDs must be presented at the gate. Children younger than 5 enter free when accompanied by an adult. For more info, go to bhamfoodtrucks.net.
