"Chitrangada: The Warrior Princess"

The story of “Chitrangada: The Warrior Princess” will be brought to the stage this month by Notinee Indian Dance classical-fusion troupe, Creations Kathak Dance and Alabama Waldorf School.
The performance will be a musical dance drama telling the story of a woman rebelling against the expectations of the society she was raised in after falling in love. The play was written by Nobel prize winner, writer and musician Rabindranath Tagore.
Performances will be Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. at Dorothy Jemison Day Theatre. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and children, available at notinee.com.
