On Sunday evening, January 6, Workshops, Inc. will welcome comedian and Birmingham native Roy Wood, Jr. to Comedy for a Cause 2019, presented by Protective Life, at UAB’s Alys Stephens Center.
In addition to his work as a Correspondent on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, hosting This is Not Happening on Comedy Central and his appearances in comedy clubs, Roy has been profiled in the New York Times, and even wrote a Travel piece for the Times about his home state. Birmingham fans also know him from The Rickey Smiley Morning Show on WBHJ957JAMZ.
Reserved seat tickets are $50. A small number of VIP passes are available at $150 and include a meet & greet with Roy after the show. The VIP passes also include pre- and post-show access to the Abroms Patrons Lounge, which will have its own cash bar set up – one drink is included with the pass – and snacks.
