Penn Mutual Salute to Service Game

Among the many festivities happening at Legion Field on Nov. 4, fans can join UAB Athletics by supporting our service members by donating a $10 ticket to the game. The donated tickets will be distributed to local military branches and veteran organizations to cheer on the Blazer.

As of today, there have already been over 800 tickets purchased and donated. 

"Honoring the service men and women who protect our country is important and we ask that our fans continue to help support us in this cause," said Director of Athletics Mark Ingram. "We have had tremendous crowds at Legion Field this season and we fully expect that to continue especially with an initiative as special as this."   

Active military members and veterans can redeem up to four tickets on the day of the game by showing a valid military ID outside of Gate 6A at the military tent. 

UAB Athletics is also asking for fans, active military members and veterans to share videos on social media about what the military means to them. Select videos will be shown the day of the game at Legion Field. When sharing a video, tag @UAB_Athletics or @UAB_FB on Twitter and Instagram, or share with UAB Athletics on Facebook.

The Blazers are 4-0 at home this season and have turned Legion Field into one of the best home field advantages in the country. UAB currently leads Conference USA in attendance averaging over 30,000 fans per home game.
