Vulcan Park and Museum presents its annual Vulcan AfterTunes concert series — featuring buzz-worthy local and regional musicians — beginning Sept. 23 and continuing in October.
The line-up features both up-and-coming and established musicians.
Gates open at 1 p.m. Opening acts begin at 3 p.m. Bands on tap for October:
► Oct. 7: Iron Horse is a high-energy bluegrass band from Killen. Birmingham’s Will Stewart, one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Country Artists You Need to Know,” will open.
► Oct. 21: Great Peacock is a Nashville band blending rock, folk and Americana. Birmingham singer-songwriter Maddie Medley will open.
Tickets range from $5-$25. Seating is first-come, first-served. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Beer, wine and food will be on sale.
