Even though the rain might have deterred people from coming out to Railroad Park on Thursday, Aug. 3, it didn’t deter everyone.
About 15-20 dedicated people were at the Medicare for All Rally At Railroad Park from 5:30-7 p.m. at Railroad Park. The rally was co-hosted by the Birmingham chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America as well as Birmingham Indivisible.
The rally was held in solidarity of the march held in Washington, D.C., advocating for a universal health insurance program, Medicare for All, to show lawmakers, community members, leaders and citizens that better health care is demanded.
